Masters in a bottle

July 31st, 2011

This wall was done with Retro from Leeuwarden. Normally we’re not really into realistic paintings but it was fun to try something else for a change.
The wall was done in our hometown Sneek. Soon the ‘Sneekweek’ will start. This is a very well known sailing event in Holland

This means lots of tourists and partytime for a week in the citycentre. These parties go with the consumption of lots of alcohol. This is why we painted our pieces into wine bottles.
The boat you see in the skyline is the ‘Sneeker Pan’ (a so called ‘Skutsje’).

The Step in the Arena festival 2011 was a huge succes. The line up of the artists was very good and we were glad to be part of it again. The flyer of the event was done in primary printcolors (CMYK), so we thought it would be nice to do our pieces also in these colors. A parrot would colourwise fit perfectly in combination with the colourscheme. We added a little twist by making the parrot in pirate style. On the right there’s a piece by Jiroe from the Heavy Artillery crew. Thanks to Stonie B for the actionphoto’s. The final wall can be viewed here >click<
