Step in the arena festival Eindhoven 2011

The Step in the Arena festival 2011 was a huge succes. The line up of the artists was very good and we were glad to be part of it again. The flyer of the event was done in primary printcolors (CMYK), so we thought it would be nice to do our pieces also in these colors. A parrot would colourwise fit perfectly in combination with the colourscheme. We added a little twist by making the parrot in pirate style. On the right there’s a piece by Jiroe from the Heavy Artillery crew. Thanks to Stonie B for the actionphoto’s. The final wall can be viewed here >click<

Skrift festival Leeuwarden

We went to a 2 day jam in Leeuwarden called “Skrift” (Frisian word for writing). Unfortunately the weather expectations where real worse: 2 days of continuous rainshowers and heavy wind. But the first day was mostly dry. We managed to squeeze this wall out… The endresult could have been better if it wasn’t so wet on the second day… Better luck next time! For the endresult click here

Step into the arena coming up…

Op 11 en 12 september is het zover: Step in the Arena, een internationale graffiti jam georganiseerd door Dynamo. Tijdens deze jam stappen meer dan 60 graffiti gladiatoren uit binnen- en buitenland in dé street-art arena van Europa: de Berenkuil, om hun skills te laten zien. Deze eerste editie van Step in the Arena schrijft met namen als Belin, Dead, New2, ML’S Crew, Musa, CFH, DNS en FDL nu al geschiedenis. Je kunt de artiesten zaterdag en zondag komen bekijken van 12.00 tot 22.00 uur.

Naast de invites is er ook ruimte voor graffiti artiesten die op eigen gelegenheid willen komen. Op deze manier kunnen jonge en gevestigde namen samen een weekend jammen in Eindhoven. Er worden Montana spuitbussen verkocht op het terrein.
Als je komt of nog vragen hebt over de jam, mail dan naar: stepinthearena@dynamo-eindhoven.nl.

Step in the Arena wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door: Montana Benelux, Red Bull, The Building, Yankee Underground en Decofiti.

Battle of Sneek 2010 report

The Battle of Sneek, edition 2010 was a great succes. Here’a little report with pictures of the event. The vibe was great and the quality of the pieces was very high. We had a hard time choosing the winner. Thanks to everyone who showed up and especially Ironlak for sponsoring the cans.
