Bear witness
November 13th, 2011
This wall was painted very close to the central trainstation of Leeuwarden city. It’s a very nice spot to do pieces and lots of people see this wall if they travel by train. We decided it was time to put up our crewname again. It involved a lot of measuring first to get the proportions right (this piece is 22 meters wide x 3 meters high), but it’s necessary to make a good piece.
After that was done, it was time to fill in all the letters and background with rollerpaint.

Meanwhile Mega started with 2 characters. It was a good opportunity to test some of the new Molotow colors.

Central station of Leeuwarden in the back.

Cappuccino and Ice cappuccino, a good combination…

This is how we roll…
June 7th, 2011
Painting a big blockbuster piece with rollerpaint is allways fun. Problem is to find a suitable spot for those pieces. This spot is located next to a railroad track, so very readable from the passing trains.
Most people think it’s easy to do blockbusters, but actually it’s more difficult to make a good blockbuster than a regular piece. All the proportions of the letters have to be right, otherwise it doesn’t look good. Check the outcome of the wall after the jump

Coolcats from Sneek
March 28th, 2011

Spring is finally here… this means more time to work on our pieces. This time we took a retro character from an old Dutch clothing brand called Coolcat. We put our names next to it and wanted to paint a bit loose. It’s hard to let go of the standard painting ‘rules’ we practised for years and years. But we’re slowly learning to let things go and discover new angles to make our work more interesting to look at… Check the endresult after the jump >click<
Colorful and decorated
March 16th, 2011

We were asked to paint something in a local youthcentre. It was in a room where all kind of activities are held for kids from 4 – 8 years old. So we thought something colorful would be nice for them to look at. We did add some characters of the Robots movie in front of the piece… They really liked the wall. Another job wel done…. The meltdown
February 14th, 2011

This time we did another experiment with primary colors. We wanted to add a melting effect to the letters without the letters becoming unreadable. To get the best result we thought that the fill in should be mostly done with hard edges and the melted part only with curly waves. It worked very well. Check out the endresult after the jump
Nasty Sons x Angry Birds
January 30th, 2011

This is our homage to the game Angry Birds by Rovio. We painted a level with all the birds in it accompanied by our names. We did make the letters in the style of the logo of the game.

Since the characters have no outline we used Belton Molotow transparant colors to make shades and effects.

It’s still very cold overhere in Holland, so we painted in sessions of several hours during 2 days. On the start of the second day there was a layer of ice on the wall which we had to scrape of first. Luckily the day turned out to be very sunny, so we could finish the wall.

All weather painting
November 7th, 2010
Autumn is here. This means lots of rain and less time to finish a piece before it’s getting dark. We managed to finish this wall in Twello in the pooring rain. Check the endresult here

Step in the arena 2010
September 22nd, 2010

It’s allways lots of work to make good joiners of pieces in tunnels. Here’s the endresult of 2 days painting during step into the arena 2010. As allways, on jams like this you spend more time talking to people you haven’t seen in a long time than painting…

We’re kinda busy with lots of projects right now and also with a little facelift of this site, so stay tuned for some surprises…
The lions den
July 17th, 2010
This wall was done in our hometown. Our zodiac sign is lion, so we thought it would be nice to do a wall with a few lions. > Check the total wall here <
