The meltdown
February 14th, 2011

This time we did another experiment with primary colors. We wanted to add a melting effect to the letters without the letters becoming unreadable. To get the best result we thought that the fill in should be mostly done with hard edges and the melted part only with curly waves. It worked very well. Check out the endresult after the jump
Nasty Sons x Angry Birds
January 30th, 2011

This is our homage to the game Angry Birds by Rovio. We painted a level with all the birds in it accompanied by our names. We did make the letters in the style of the logo of the game.

Since the characters have no outline we used Belton Molotow transparant colors to make shades and effects.

It’s still very cold overhere in Holland, so we painted in sessions of several hours during 2 days. On the start of the second day there was a layer of ice on the wall which we had to scrape of first. Luckily the day turned out to be very sunny, so we could finish the wall.

More Google streetview graffiti
January 19th, 2011
We did post a while ago about finding some work of us on Google streetview. This was only in our own area. The famous Sydhavn hall o fame in Copenhagen is now also on streetview and guess what. One of our productions can be found there. It’s the striking like a viking wall we did with Bates. Check the hall of fame yourself…. > click <

Commission for Afrika Bambaataa
October 13th, 2010
We we’re asked to do a piece for Afrika Bambaataa. The piece was used as a backdrop during a live dj set with the man himself. He was very happy with the piece.
For those who don’t know who Afrika Bambaataa is: Afrika Bambaataa (born April 19, 1960) is an American DJ from the South Bronx, New York who was instrumental in the early development of hip hop throughout the 1980s. Afrika Bambaataa is one of the three originators of break-beat deejaying, and is respectfully known as the “Grandfather” and “Godfather” and The Amen Ra of Universal Hip Hop Culture as well as The Father of The Electro Funk Sound. Through his co-opting of the street gang the Black Spades into the music and culture-oriented Universal Zulu Nation, he is responsible for spreading hip hop culture throughout the world. On September 27, 2007, he was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
